Cumbria Community Fundraising Dinner

On Wednesday 13th January, Castle Dairy hosted a spectacular evening in aid of Cumbria Flood Victims.

The event which was held at Kendall college, was organised in the wake of the devastating floods last month, which saw many businesses, including Castle Dairy restaurant damaged.

Wellocks were proud to sponsor the event in wake of the floods, and supplied the main ingredients for the dinner, which included an 8-course taster menu.

Highlights on the menu were pastrami spice-cured sea trout with yoghurt and dill, slow-cooked rump of lamb, celeriac, cavalo nero, and lamb jus gras followed by passion fruit curd, pineapple and coconut.
Diners were treated to forced Yorkshire rhubarb and green tea sorbet – with diners praising the exquisite rhubarb, from our supplier Tomlinson’s rhubarb.

The evening raised a grand total of £600 towards Cumbria Flood Victims.
