A VIP Service

Chef Chris Warwick is used to creating incredible dishes for his customers in his restaurant at the Soneva Fushi resort in the Maldives. When he was asked to return to the UK to cook a VIP dinner for some customers back home in London, he needed to source the freshest and best ingredients as well as a kitchen to prepare it in.

That’s when he got in touch with us…

The challenge

Our challenge was to source the perfect ingredients for Chris and to help him prep the dishes from our development kitchen in Nelson, Lancashire before transporting it down to London. Obviously, we accepted the challenge head on.

The perfect ingredient

Chris’ dishes were inspired by a Soneva signature tasting menu, so sourcing the correct ingredients was crucial. His menu included red pepper and vanilla soup, British plum tomato-water jelly, ‘street food style’ Yorkshire chorizo, potato mousse and artisan handmade chocolates. As well as sourcing some exotic ingredients like summer truffles, raspberry powder and golden raspberries we made sure we found Chris the best fresh and local produce too.

 To the kitchen    

With the ingredients ready, it was to the kitchen to start getting the dishes prepared so that when everything arrived in London all Chris had to do was create his magic!

Right on time

Once everything was prepped and packed up, our vans and drivers were raring to go! And, as promised, we delivered everything on time.   

What a success!

It was fantastic to be part of bringing together such an interesting menu. The evening was a success and Chris even compared our ingredients to the crown jewels! It does not get better than this – Wellocks is always only round the corner – even from the Maldives!” said Chris. “If you want the best, there is only one choice – Wellocks.”
